Malavika Bhatia is a self-taught mycologist, artist and community facilitator, serving as the India Program Lead at Fungi Foundation, a global non-profit. They integrate ethnomycological research, traditional foraging practices and community outreach to deepen connections between humans and the more-than-human world. Using mycelial networks as both metaphor and method, they create spaces for collective learning and ecological stewardship, particularly in urban areas, where these connections are often disrupted. Through workshops, foraging walks and immersive installations, they inspire new ways of reimagining our relationships with place, community and the natural world.
